How You Can Support Us
We Care Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador relies on individuals, groups, and organizations in our community for financial and in-kind support to enable us to carry out our charitable activities. The following are ways you can support our organization:
For our fundraisng events and activities
- Trainers for our Entrepreneurship Skills Training for women and youths.
- Trainers for our employability skills training for unemployed youths.
With your financial donations we will be able to carry out the following charitable activities:
- Award scholarships to newcomer, new immigrant, Black and other racialized youth in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Provide schools supplies such as books, stationary and backpacks to newcomer, new immigrant and refugee Elementary school children and High School students.
- Address gender-based violence by providing support programs and services for newcomer, new immigrants and racialized women and girls who are victims and /or survivors of gender-based violence.
- Offer job/employment skills training for unemployed and underemployed newcomers, new immigrants and racialized people to enhance their employability.
- Offer business/entrepreneurship skills training for newcomers, new immigrants and raciliazed people to enable them to start and grow their businesses in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Provide feminine hygiene products for vulnerable newcomer, new immigrant and refugee women and girls.
- Address food insecurity by providing food hampers, gift cards, food vouchers and hot meals to newcomers, new immigrants, refugees and racialized individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
- Provide essential supplies and resources to women shelters, and to organizations that provide support to those who are homeless.
- Schools supplies such as books, stationary and used laptops and backpacks.
- Personal care products such as feminine hygiene products.
